Experts of the Bureau will attend the Conference about Food Safety

In May 24th, 2013 Head of Food, Tobacco Products, Alcohol and non- Alcohol Beverages Examination Unit Maia Gonashvili, also Experts of same Unit Marine Iakobashvili and Eter Inasaridze will attend Conference about food safety. The Conference will be held at hotel Radisson Blu Iveria on topic Food Safety – Challenges of XXI Century. Georgian and Foreign specialist will read various reports at the Conference, debates will be held, where some active issues at food sphere regarding to food safety will be discussed with solution possibilities and legal concerns. Food, Tobacco Products, Alcohol and non- Alcohol Beverages Examination Unit of the Bureau is involved at food product safety parameters examination.

In May, 2013 Representatives of LEPL – Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau were invited at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
Head of Forensics Biology Department Nino Kovhiashvili and Expert of Forensics Criminalistic Department Besik Nozadze met student of Law faculty.
The meeting was organized in the framework of mutual Memorandum of understanding Between the Bureau and the University.
The Conference covered latest tendencies of Criminalistic Development.
Representatives of the Bureau gave a presentation for students that caused deep interest among them.
Head of Forensics Biology Department Nino Kochiashvili and Expert Besik Nozadze have acquainted future lawyers with current implemented innovations at Forensics DNA and Criminalistic Laboratories, and virtually presented hi-tech equipment and tools that are used for daily forensics examinations.
The aim of the Conference was youth inform about examination at forensics Bureau.
Appreciativeness of the Head of the Bureau to the Orderly of Forensics Medical Department

In May, 2013 a letter was accepted at LEPL – Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, at the chancellery. The family of deceased person in Tbilisi expressed their gratefulness to the Orderly of Forensics Medical Department Nikoloz Skvitaridze for his honest work.
Orderly of Living Bodies and Corpses Examination Unit of Forensics Medical Department showed his conscientiousness and discovered money within 2000 GEL amount of the pocket of jacket while taking care of the corpse.
Orderly has notified about up mentioned to the family of the deceased.
Regarding to above mentioned Head of the Bureau George Khizanishvili expressed his appreciation to orderly of Forensics Medical Department Nikoloz Skhvitaridze and rewarded with benefits.
National Forensic Bureau of Georgia at ENFSI Annual Meeting in Belgrade

On 21-24 May Mr. George Khizanishvili - Head of LEPL – Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau will have an official visit in Belgrade, Serbia to attend 25th Annual Meeting of European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI).
Mr. Ucha Margvelashvili - Head of Quality Assurance Unit will also attend ENFSI meeting along with the Head of the Bureau.
Success of Forensic Biology Department was confirmed by International Certificate

In May, 2013 LEPL – Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau was honored with a special certificate from German DNA Profiling Group Committee (GEDNAP) which is an official document confirming that all Genetic examinations and obtained results performed at Forensic Biology Department of National Forensics Bureau completely comply with the International Standards.
